Do you want to have a good day? Well, then it’s important that you start your day well. If you do, chances are your day will also be good. But if you don’t, the opposite might happen. How you start your day can make or break it.
Here is how to start your day well:
1. Rise Early
How early is early? It depends. In my opinion, the important thing is that you have enough time for a good morning routine (the things that I list below). If you rise late, you will be in a rush. So rise early enough to have a good morning routine.
2. Be Excited About the Day
This is important. The attitude you have when you start your day can have a big impact. If you grumble that you will have a miserable day ahead, it will be difficult for you to have a good day. On the other hand, if you are excited about your day, you will be off to a good start.
How can you be excited about your day?
Think about the good things that will happen throughout the day. Even if something doesn’t look good, look at the positive side of it.
For instance, you might have a difficult task at work. But instead of thinking about how difficult it is, think about what an exciting challenge it is. By reframing your mind like this, you will have a positive attitude about your day.
3. Have a Quiet Time
You need to reconnect with your values and purpose early in the day. You also need to get direction for the rest of the day. You can do this by having a quiet time.
In my case, I spend this time praying and reading the Scripture. In your case, it might be something different. The important thing is that you find balance during this time. It’s the time to recalibrate yourself for the day ahead.
In the past, I didn’t have the habit of working out in the morning. I didn’t know what I was missing! Once I started the habit, I could feel the difference. It makes me feel fresh and energized.
If you don’t have this habit yet, try it. Even 10 to 15 minutes will do. Feel the difference in your energy level.
5. Plan Your Day
Just like a general should have a battle plan before going into a battle, you should have a plan before going into your day. How? By arranging your schedule in a way that maximizes your effectiveness.
For instance, I’ve found that I need a fresh mind for writing, so I schedule it early in the day. If I do it later, my ideas just won’t flow. On the other hand, I schedule less creative tasks (such as research) for later in the day. By arranging my activities this way, I maximize my effectiveness.
6. Have a Breakfast
I know that there are different opinions about this, but for many people having a breakfast can give them the energy they need to start the day. That’s one reason why you should rise early enough: you will have time for a good breakfast.
Admirable look 😍😍😍😍
